                                 1. CONCEPTUAL SKILLS.
                                 2. TECHNICAL SKILLS. 
                                 3. HUMAN SKILL OR PEOPLE SKILL.





1. CONCEPTUAL SKILL
  • Conceptual skills allow a manager to visualize the entire organization and work with ideas and the relationships between abstract concept and understand the  relationship among the elements of the business process. 
2. TECHNICAL SKILL
  • Technical skills are needed to actually get the work done; they are the techniques, practices, tools, and processes needed by front-line employees in the manager's functional area. The knowledge and techniques should be specific to the trade or profession.
3. PEOPLE OR HUMAN SKILL
  • Human skills, also called as people. skills, require communication and attention to relationships with others. Human skill is the ability to work with the people ,as individuals or a team and creating a encouraging environment for people in the organization.
In addition to the above 3 skills, KOONTZ and WEIHRICH suggested another skill called
      •     problem-solving skill
                                       mangers are required to have creativity and ability to work out solutions for         any problems arising in the organization.

  • TOP LEVEL MANAGEMENT = HUMAN SKILL(70%) + CONCEPTUAL SKILL(30%).
  • MIDDLE LEVEL MANAGEMENT = MAXIMUM CONCEPTUAL SKILL +  MINIMUM                                                                     TECHNICAL SKILL.
  • BOTTOM LEVEL MANAGEMENT = TECHNICAL SKILL(60%) + CONCEPTUAL                                                                               SKILL(40%).
